The rooms are a bit dated as far as fixtures and decor, but our room was clean with comfortable beds and a full kitchen. The kitchen was an awesome surprise as I didn't realize it came with one. Fully stocked with stove, fridge, cabinets and pots, plates, utensils ect. The shower had excellent water pressure. All my encounters with staff were friendly and helpful. They clean your room every day. The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the national mall/whitehouse ect. Blocks aways from the university. Be advised their parking is underground and $50 per night. Very walkable area. We left our car parked and walked everywhere. We enjoyed our stay.

A surprisingly nice hotel in a great location with excellent service at a very reasonable cost! My wife and I stayed here because it is close to our daughter's apartment. The facility overall is immaculate. Well maintained and clean. It has a small restaurant, gym and even a parking garage for guests (that we didn't use, but was amazingly clean and well cared for). The room we stayed in was spacious and had a small, but full kitchen (four burner gas range, full size refrigerator and sink). There was even a thoughtfully placed bag of ice in the freezer. The bedroom featured a king size bed with lots of walking space. There was also a room next to the bathroom for drying your hair and such. The bathroom was fairly recently redone in the art deco style of the building and while somewhat small was functional especially with the dressing room next to the bathroom as mentioned above. Location was excellent. 15 minute walk to the National Mall and exhibits such as the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and others. It is also only about a 10 minute walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro station and Whole Foods. The cost was reasonable and the service was excellent. Pleasantly surprised!

5 day stay 2 weeks ago. Room was simple but clean. Location is convenient and we felt safe walking in the area. We didn't try restaurant till last night but wish we would've stopped earlier! Server there was a pleasure to talk to. Food was great..try the risotto! Front desk staff very helpful. Hotel actually has two entrances which we found challenging trying to find our room! Next visit, we will only rent a car if we are leaving the city. Helpful tip. When needing a ride, try EMPOWER vs. UBER, TAXI, etc. Pricing significantly less with same drivers!

The staff are great. Old school, but solid. A comfy stay.

Loved the kitchen. Well setup for 2 friends to stay at great location.
