The room was spacious, ...

The room was spacious, had a complete kitchen and was cleaned everyday. The bed was comfortable but the heat never really went off, even though we'd tried to turn on the air. Being March, we just opened the windows to cool it down but I don't know how I would've been able to stay in the summer. the floor was also very uneven with holes in the subfloor you could feel though the carpet. Close to the Capitol Hill, monuments and museums but surrounded by a fair amount of tents on the street. We met one such fellow at the CVS which is right by the hotel who loudly told us about his painful herpes. A water main broke in front of the building while we were staying and we were without water for several hours. the front desk wasn't great. They checked us in disinterestedly and despite having a doorman/bellhop they/we were unable to use a luggage cart to bring in our items because it couldn't be taken outside to street parking. Access to the primary elevators are up a set of 6 or so stairs; we were not given an alternative even as we struggled to bring our things up, so I can't imagine they take ADA compliance that seriously.
