Very nice hotel

Stayed here for a couple of days with my family while we visited DC. Excellent reception & staff. Bathrooms are beautiful and the whole room is very clean. The kitchenette is stocked with utensils, cups, plates, etc. We also got two complimentary water bottles each day of our stay. Within walking distance from the George Washington University, the Foggy Bottom metro station, and the Washington Monument. Definitely recommend staying here

Loved it!

Enjoyed our stay here very much! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Ice and water were provided every day. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! The CVS right next door was very handy as you can get almost anything there. Two perks provided by the hotel were lemon ice water in the lobby and on the day it rained they offered free umbrellas to use! The location is very good and within walking distance of a lot of the DC attractions! Could of used a little more lighting in the kitchen area

Amazing

We stayed for three nights and cannot speak highly enough of this place. The service is good, staff are very respectful and it brings a touch of yesteryear. We had a deluxe king room with a separate kitchen which was huge- bathroom with separate dressing area. This was more like a one bedroom apartment- great value for money. Cleanliness was 10/10- attention to detail outstanding. Would recommend and would definitely stay again

Great location for seeing this amazing city

Stayed here for 4 nights and would recommend as a great base for visiting all the wonderful sights that DC offers, most of them for free. The hotel is located in close walking distance to lots of the sights, a 15 min walk to the Lincoln Memorial and 25 min to the White House. We arrived in at the foggy bottom metro station and it was a 15 min walk to the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and our room was clean and spacious, more like an apartment with a separate bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen/dining area. Bed was super comfy and shower was always hot and powerful. Air conditioning worked well, if a little noisy, and was very welcome as it was hot outside! We didn't have much of a view but that was fine it wasn't needed. Kitchen was a little dated but well equipped for our basic needs, making coffee and breakfast, breakfast was available at the hotel but at $20 each per day it seemed a little overpriced for our budget. Our toaster didn't work properly but a quick call to reception and a brand new one was delivered in 10 minutes. We did eat diner at the restaurant on one evening and the meal and service was excellent. Our waiter, I think his name was Leander, was very polite and attentive, in fact all the hotel staff were excellent during our stay and housekeeping kept the room spotless. All in all a great place to stay for exploring, comfy and welcoming

Great Location, Comfy Room, But Service Needs Improvement

I liked staying in this hotel despite some negatives. For a moment I thought it was too far away from most everything, but with a bus stop a few steps away, we were close to everything. Even the National Mall is within walking distance; a 15-minute slow-paced walk will take you to the Lincoln Monument. The room we had "appeared" clean despite the carpet that has seen better days. The linens were clean and crisp, the bathroom seemed newly refurbished. We also liked it that there was a kitchenette for us to cook breakfast with supplies purchased from a CVS next door. An ice-filled jug of lemon water at the front desk was a definite plus! We arrived in the peak of summer and were sticky and tired from the Amtrak ride from New York and glasses of ice-cold water upon arriving was soooo welcome. What I did not like: - Noisy aircon. - Staff weren't warm or welcoming. They looked tired even in the morning. I guess it may be unfair to compare them with hotel staff in most hotels in East Asia. - They must improve housekeeping. For some reason they were not clearing away the pans we were using to prepare breakfast or to heat food. We could have done it ourselves but there wasn't any dishwashing sponge that we could use. So I am not sure how clean they cleaned the rest of the room, to be honest
