Excellent value and location.

Best value hotel I could find, excellent rooms and best of all the location is perfect for seeing all of the Washington DC sights. You are 5 minutes away from the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall. Decent restaurants are nearby, there is a 24-hours pharmacy (CVC) next door. Staff good. Parking good. I would stay here again for sure

Absolutely wonderful

This wonderful hotel is (almost) on the campus of the George Washington University. It has everything you'll need. It was ultra clean, that's important to me. Amazing location, within a short walk to anything you'll want or need. The Lincoln Memorial and White House are a ten minute walk, the other memorials are all close by as well. The staff was VERY helpful, friendly and professional. There's no reason to stay anywhere else the next time I'm in DC

Nice but noisy!

My husband and I spent a weekend in Foggy Bottom to hit the museums of DC and just stroll. We stayed at the State Plaza while there. The front desk staff was kind and friendly and upgraded us to a 7th floor suite. The hotel has two buildings and can be entered by two doors. The suite was tastefully decorated and spacious. The bed was soooo comfortable and we had nice big windows with a view. We loved staying here but on our second day there was a whining noise that we heard all night. It was the strangest thing and it was constant! To our discredit, we never called the front desk to move rooms since we really liked ours but it did make for a restless night the second night. Miraculously, the noise was gone by the morning we were leaving! One other drawback was the TVs. They were small and had poor quality pictures. Overall, our stay at this hotel was pleasant. It was close to everything only being a 15 -20 minute walk to the White House and the Mall. One other mention is that this hotel is in the middle of George Washington University. There are college students all around which was no problem for us but it was also a quiet time of year. The price was good, the rooms comfortable, and the close proximity to attractions make this a place we would stay at again

Great Where It Counts

The hotel is not a sleek boutique and some furniture is dated, BUT: It may just be the most comfortable, accommodating, friendly hotel ever. Most importantly, it is clean, quiet, and has a super comfortable bed. We stayed in a large suite at a reasonable price affording us room to practice tai chi and a full kitchen and dining area and two TVs. The staff are the greatest, including the entire front desk staff and bellmen, who provided quick and friendly service immediately 24/7. We will definitely stay here again

Still like this place

I was here with my husband for a business trip he had in DC. Last time we stayed was in 2015. I still like this place. Very clean and quiet! We were on the 7th floor. Large room with small kitchen. The staff was very friendly. I would come back again
