ALL VENDING SLOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THE 5TH ANNUAL EAST OF THE RIVER BOOK FESTIVAL!! Celebrate our 5th anniversary and join us! The 5th Annual East of the River Book Festival is a magnet for city dwellers from all wards to enjoy a free literary event that highlights the efforts of indie writers, small publishers and independent book shops. This festival will inspire and excite those who enjoy culturally diverse books and have an interest in self-publishing. We celebrate in two ways: 1. We encourage all attendees to wear a costume to reflect a favorite author or book character. 2. We invite writers to participate in engaging panels and workshops to access lessons learned and practical resources. Make sure to reserve tickets for the panel/workshops in advance. Seats are limited. Attendees for this event reflect readers of all ages and genres. For more details about the authors, sponsors, community partners and opportunities to volunteer, visit! Join the fun and be inspired to tell your story!   FAQs   Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? This event is family-friendly! Readers and writers of all ages are invited to attend (and wear a costume, of course)!   What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
