Returning for another year at Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center, The Rated PG Black Arts Festival is a woman-centered festival that presents and promotes the talented voices of visual and performing artists in our local community. As women of color strive for equal representation in the art world, mass media, and the workplace, PGAAMCC creates a safe space where Black womens' achievements and diversity of talent can be celebrated. Curated by returning artist Yaya Bey, Rated PG will feature performances, discussions, and a vendor market - all created and led by black women. The dynamic line up of performers for this year's festival include: Zenizen, Saint Mela, Tamika Love Jones, The CooLots, and Blaque Stone. Event DJs include Boston Chery and Niara Sterling. Last year's festival was great success and hosted over 1000 people from throughout the DMV. Come join us this year for more fun! This Rated PG: Black Arts Festival will take place on September 29th, 2018 from 1-7pm at the Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center, located at 4519 Rhode Island Avenue, North Brentwood MD 20722.
